BRODEN IS 2!!!!

Thursday Broden had his second birthday which we are still celebrating! When he woke up I fixed muffins and Remi, PJ(my visiting teacher and volleyball teammate) and sang happy birthday to him. Then when Blake got home we had dinner, opened presents and ate cake. Blake and Remi went out Wednesday and had a blast picking out presents for Broden. To "wrap" the presents Remi and I tore up 4 old magazines and wadded up paper and put it into the wagon box with all his presents(except the wagon) They got him 4 horses and a stick horse. He loved climbing into the box and pulling out his presents. Then we had him find his wagon, which him and Remi both love. We used it Friday to pull them in trick or treating.

Well I'll finish later. We are having a friend birthday party in an hour, so I need to get out his presents from grandma and grandpa and finish picking up. Blake aready cleaned pretty much the whole house.

Ok, I'm continuing now.

Broden has been such a fun little boy. He is learning to talk so well. Things he loves to say are:
Thank you
I love you
More
Please
Bye, Bye
Elephant
Bear
Tiger
Giraffe
Bath
oh hoh(horse)
RRROOOAAARRRR
SELF(He wants to do everything "Self")

Broden always remembers to say thank you. He will get hurt and be screaming at the top of his lungs, but if you kiss his sore he will always say thank you, even in the middle of his crying.

All the little kids I've said love you to will just say love you back to me, but Broden will say I love you.

Something Broden does right now that I think is so cute is when Blake takes them up to brush their teeth and read books he will always remember prayers. He will come find me wherever I am and say, "Mom, prayers." So he is a good little reminder. He even insists on saying prayers before naps now too. He is such a good example.

For a couple months now we have thought Broden wanted his and Remi's friend Raefy to do everything with us. But last week we realized that he says Remi and Raefy the same way. So when he wants breakfast with"Raefy" or wants to play with "Raefy" or take a bath with "Raefy" he is really saying he wants to do all these things with Remi. Half the time he is talking about Raefy, but he loves doing everything with Remi too.

Another thing Broden does is if Remi wants what he has and asks for it he will give it to her. If she takes it from him he gets really mad and will try to hit or bite her, so I will make her give it back. He will play with it for a few seconds and then he will give it to her. He will even go find her to give it to her whever she is. It is so sweet that he is so good at sharing. We love our little laid back boy!!!

Pumpkins

Last Sunday we carved our pumpkins which the kids thought was great! We even gave them knives, which they thought was great. I wasn't so sure though. In the picture with Blake you can see Broden with his knife.

My pumpkin has heart eyes, Remi's has star eyes, Broden's is traditional and Blake's is a special dental pumpkin. Can anyone tell what it says?

Wiggles

Last week we took the kids to a Wiggles concert. They loved it! Remi has liked the wiggles for a long time and we always get their movies at the library. So the concert was a huge hit. Now I hear her playing with her animals and she says,"You have to be happy if you want to go see the wiggles. We have to go get tickets first. Ok sit here and the Wiggles will be up on the stage up there." Then she starts singing Wiggles songs to them.

A Perfect Fall Day

Last Saturday we had a perfect fall day. All three of our little ones slept in past 8, which is a rare treat. Then we all layed in bed for a while and took our time getting ready to go. We finally left the house at about 11:00, grabbed some picnic food to take with us and headed to Patterson Fruit Farm. First we let the kids play on the hay stack. They loved throwing the hay at each other. Then we picked our pumpkins from the thousands they had to choose from. Remi and Broden each got to pick their own pumkin, limited only by what they could carry themselves. Then Remi picked a little one for "Lissa". Then we headed into the little store they have there. We sampled all the apples and bought some little pocket pies. They were amazing. We got Rasberry and peach. We ate those on the drive to the part of the farm where you can pick your own apples. When we got there we rode on the trailor pulled by a tractor to the kind of apples they would let you pick that day. Remi and Broden loved picking the apples, after we convinced them the ones in the trees were better than the ones on the ground. Then we took a family picture and headed to a place where they could feed the horse. Both of them have had a love of horses since we went to Amish country. They fed the horse a few rotten apples and we headed to a park for lunch. The park was in a nice small town called Chesterland. It was such a cute town, and the kids were so excited to finally be able to "ride" a horse.

Cute pictures of the kiddos

These are just some cute pictures I took of Remi and Broden.

Alissa on her first Sunday to go to church. I wanted to make her and Remi matching dresses, so that is what she is wearing. A dress with a matching headband.
Here is Remi in her dress, she did have a shirt under it, but wouldn't put it on again when we got home from church. It was hard enough getting her to wear the dress and headband again. She prefers just her underwear.

Remi loves taking care of Alissa.
She likes to model too. Just kidding. She really doesn't like doing anything I ask her to do if I have the camera out.

Just some more cute pictures of my girls. Broden isn't as careful with Alissa(Imagine that) so it is hard to let him hold her while I try to take a picture. He will only hold her for about 1/2 a second and then say,"done" as he tries to stand up, whether I have removed Alissa from his lap or not. So I will have to get a helper to get them in a picture together.
