Kelsi's One!!!

I can't believe our baby is 1!!! Friday, March 28th was an eventful day of celebrating! I took Kelsi to her one year check up and she weighs a whopping 18 pounds 10 ounces and is 28 and a half inches tall. Her head circumference is 17 and a half inches which means she is in the 25th percentile for everything. The doctor said she is very healthy!!! We did do the normal iron test they do for 12 month babies and she is low on iron, so we get to do iron drops along with vitamin d drops:) She likes the iron drops and the vitamin d drops we just add to her milk. That night we had a combined birthday party with Ingersoll's for Kelsi and Noah. They are only a week apart. We used a big room on one of the bases and rented a bounce house for all the kids. I think there were 40 something people there, so it was a crazy fun night!

I stopped nursing Kelsi 2 weeks before her birthday and she did surprisingly well with it. She now sleeps through the night for the most part and has started walking everywhere. A few weeks before her birthday she started walking from holding onto the furniture, then a week after her birthday she started walking everywhere. I think seeing all the kids at her birthday party, then having friends over who have a little one year old has motivated her to walk. Now she stands up in the middle of the room and walks. If she falls, she stands up and tries again. It is so cute to watch and sometimes she will fall 4 or 5 times in the same place before she gets her balance good enough to walk.

Kelsi is such a happy little girl and so loved and taken care of by her siblings! They love getting her up from her naps, playing with her and Remi loves putting her to sleep. It is so nice to have so many helpers and Kelsi loves them too. She loves to give kisses, the slobbery, open mouth kind! She also likes to play peek-a-boo and chase other kids around. We will carry her and run around the circle from our living room, to kitchen to hallway and chase the other kids. She thinks it is really funny. Or if we hide and crawl around the corner and scare her she laughs and laughs. She doesn't really have stranger anxiety, which is nice. She is pretty much happy going to anyone.

We are so grateful she is such a happy easy going girl!

On her birthday we all went in together when she woke up and sang Happy Birthday to her. She kind of thought we were crazy! It was cute though. Everyone was so excited to celebrate with her.

We had blueberry pancakes for breakfast. She loved the candle:)

This is what I found when we were getting ready to run out the door to get Parker to school, then Kelsi to her dr. appointment. She discovered her rice cereal in the cupboard and thought it was fun to shake the box and watch it fly, then wipe her hand in it on the floor. Hard to get mad at someone so cute though!
