Scotland part 1

Blake took his paternity leave the end of May when the kids were out of school, so we headed to Scotland! The first night we drove to the Air Force Base so we could get gas in the morning, then we continued driving to our first castle! The people stationed at that base are lucky. It is beautiful where they live. Definitely in the pretty part of England! Rolling hills, lakes, farms, just pretty and relaxing. The castle was a good stopping point to get out of the car and explore. They even had a free tour. It was a rainy wet day, but not freezing. Just a little cool.

After we were done exploring we jumped in the car again and headed to the holiday park where we were staying. The kids were bummed we got there after the pool was closed, but they had fun discovering things by our trailer. There was a little stream between our trailer and the one next to us and they spent hours playing in the water catching frogs and playing with sticks and throwing things. It was heaven for little kids. I loved just watching them out the window while I fixed dinner.

This is where we stayed.
