We put Remi and Broden in Tee ball and coach pitch baseball this year and they have done great! Once they got the hang of a metal bat they have become really good hitters and are both getting better at catching and throwing.
Baseball makes for busy weeks. We had a crazy schedule for a couple weeks. Mondays Broden had baseball and Blake soccer, Tuesdays Remi and Broden Piano and Jenny Tennis. Wednesday's Remi's baseball games and Blake soccer. Thursday, Remi baseball practice and Jenny tennis. It was fun to do all the activities, but a little too crazy for me.

Remi's first out |
When Remi was playing in her first game someone hit the ball towards her. She was playing 3rd, so she ran up and got the ball then ran back and touched her base and got the runner out who was running to 3rd. They don't always play by all the rules at this age, because of feelings getting hurt, but this boy knew he was out, so he left back to his bench. The look on Remi's face was priceless. She knew she had done something good and was so excited, but she was trying really hard to not let that show.

One week in school Remi and Broden had a sports day at school. They did a bunch of different activities and kept score between the "families" in the school. The families are Water, Fire, Air and Sun. Remi and Broden are in the Fire family. It was fun to see them compete in all the events. Then at the end they had a little track meet where they raced the other kids their age. They even had a race for the moms and dads. I raced! I don't remember racing someone like that. It's been a while. Remi and Broden both did great! We got to have a picnic lunch with them after their sports day. It was a fun day for all of us.
