Rome Day 5

Our last day in Rome we packed up and headed to church. This is always one of my favorite things about traveling. We can walk in to a building knowing no one and feel completely welcome and comfortable. This was a Italian speaking ward, but they had little earphones and the missionaries translated for all the people who didn't speak Italian. The members were really nice and very welcoming.
After church we walked around the city a bit more before heading to the bus to get back to the airport and fly home.
The Rome Marathon was that day so things were crazy! Some of the buses weren't running and lots of the roads were blocked off. It was fun to see all the runners all over. There were thousands of them! It even made me consider running a marathon. I don't know if I ever really will, but I have never ever even considered it until now. Kind of a fun way to see a city. I wonder if there are any marathons in fun cities that aren't on a Sunday?

We got home about 11 at night I think. We went and picked up all our kiddos and came back to our home to regroup before our next big trip! It was such a fun and relaxing trip and so nice knowing that our little ones were so well taken care of.
