Arizona part 2

Mt. Wrightson 9,453 ft.
Blake wanted to get out and go on a "quick" hike one day, so we left early in the morning to hike this peak that didn't look too big from the house. We got to the trail head and hiked up the mountain. It was lots further than we thought. Not really a problem, except we didn't have a phone to tell him mom we would be more than 2 hours:) We also didn't have a watch or anything to know what time it was. We just figured we would ask someone along the way. We never saw someone though, until we were on our way back down. I think it took us a total of 5 hours and we ran all the way down the mountain. I felt pretty good that I could do all that with out being on a big hike in probably 7 years. That night and the next few days I didn't feel so good. I was SOOOO sore. My leg muscles didn't let me do much after that. I think Blake and I both looked pretty funny walking around. Especially trying to go down stairs:) It was so much fun though. It took us back to our dating days when we would go hunting and hiking.

Strawberries on my smore, delish!

We enjoyed a nice evening in the mountains exploring, decorating easter eggs and roasting marshmallows. It was so relaxing and a great end to Blake's visit in Arizona.
