Horned Lizard from our hike
Children's Museum
Thursday morning we all got up feeling so much more rested! Alissa's diaper was almost completely dry when she woke up. She was hardly eating anything, but didn't seem lethargic. I called the doctor's office in Omaha and got a referral to see a doctor in Arizona.
Grandma and I got everything ready and we headed up to the Children's museum in Tucson. The kids had a blast! They loved being doctors and taking care of the babies! There was also an art area there. Remi drew a picture and then they enjoyed the rope maze, submarine, building tube structures for the ball to roll down, doing puppet shows and playing on the fire engine and police motor cycle.
After the museum we went to Peter Piper's Pizza. The kids were too excited for their games to eat their pizza though. The carousel was free to ride so they each did that, then grandma got them some tokens to play some of the other games.
That night Grandpa, Remi, Broden, Parker and I went down to a little town and walked on a nature path. Grandma stayed with Alissa since she was sleeping. We saw the cutest little horned lizard baby on the path. The kids each held it. There were tons of stink bugs walking around too. Remi and Broden got excited every time they saw one. It was fun to hear about all the different plants, animals, birds and the history of the different towns, how they are related to immigration and the drug trafficking. Grandpa Jones can teach about anything from plants, animals, birds, rocks, mountains, stars, history, current events, hiking trails, or anything else. Definitely a fun person to travel with! He can make the most ordinary places come alive with beauty.
We got home too late to take Alissa to the doctor so I decided I would the next morning.
