A Perfect Fall Day

Last Saturday we had a perfect fall day. All three of our little ones slept in past 8, which is a rare treat. Then we all layed in bed for a while and took our time getting ready to go. We finally left the house at about 11:00, grabbed some picnic food to take with us and headed to Patterson Fruit Farm. First we let the kids play on the hay stack. They loved throwing the hay at each other. Then we picked our pumpkins from the thousands they had to choose from. Remi and Broden each got to pick their own pumkin, limited only by what they could carry themselves. Then Remi picked a little one for "Lissa". Then we headed into the little store they have there. We sampled all the apples and bought some little pocket pies. They were amazing. We got Rasberry and peach. We ate those on the drive to the part of the farm where you can pick your own apples. When we got there we rode on the trailor pulled by a tractor to the kind of apples they would let you pick that day. Remi and Broden loved picking the apples, after we convinced them the ones in the trees were better than the ones on the ground. Then we took a family picture and headed to a place where they could feed the horse. Both of them have had a love of horses since we went to Amish country. They fed the horse a few rotten apples and we headed to a park for lunch. The park was in a nice small town called Chesterland. It was such a cute town, and the kids were so excited to finally be able to "ride" a horse.

Cute pictures of the kiddos

These are just some cute pictures I took of Remi and Broden.

Alissa on her first Sunday to go to church. I wanted to make her and Remi matching dresses, so that is what she is wearing. A dress with a matching headband.
Here is Remi in her dress, she did have a shirt under it, but wouldn't put it on again when we got home from church. It was hard enough getting her to wear the dress and headband again. She prefers just her underwear.

Remi loves taking care of Alissa.
She likes to model too. Just kidding. She really doesn't like doing anything I ask her to do if I have the camera out.

Just some more cute pictures of my girls. Broden isn't as careful with Alissa(Imagine that) so it is hard to let him hold her while I try to take a picture. He will only hold her for about 1/2 a second and then say,"done" as he tries to stand up, whether I have removed Alissa from his lap or not. So I will have to get a helper to get them in a picture together.
